The only one I've read is Cry to Heaven, which is a fascinating book. It is flawed, plotwise (sometimes it seems like Rice gets a little fast & loose and needs to be reined in), but I'm glad it was included because Anne Rice has delved into some interesting subjects and obviously researches them ... ... Frida, Hay ... ... they came out, so I've been a fan for years. Not a huge fan of the Mayfair series, though I have read them as well. I loved Cry To Heaven and Feast of All Saints as well. Once Ms. Rice hit Memnoch The Devil my interest began to wane, though I did like The Vampire Armand.
I quite ... ... stay out of the bookstore. Added to may already enormous TBR pile is The Blood Books, Vol. II by Tanya Huff and Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice. ... (love the moniker) ;)
I've read and enjoyed all (and reread some) of Anne Rice's novels except Violin and Cry to Heaven (I think I just wasn't in the mood at the time). Particularly loved Interview with a Vampire and The Witching Hour. I even like her latest novel ~ Chris ... Harry and the Wrinklies

Stan's poetry does zip for me. Anne's post-Interview books fail to appeal much, though I thought Cry to Heaven was good enough to read. Christopher, well, not my taste. He's not selling based on his mama's reputation, though, as he has a following all his own. Just finished Cry to Heaven this morning, which was a thoroughly good romp and as a student of opera, I appreciate Rice's research.

Anne Rice has 2 that are good A Cry to Heaven and The Feast of All Saints. Georgette Heyer has a wonderful book about William the Conqueror, The Conqueror. Naguib Mahfouz has 3 books set in ... ... and he does a fantastic job at it. Some of these include (ones that I've listened to so far...)
