The Jennifer Morgue
The City and The City

The Dangerous World of Butterflies ... back then, though, ;-).
Lois, I still prefer science fiction, even if it is hard to find good new stuff...
48. The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross
A paranormal, mathematical, geeked out take on the spy thriller. Loads of fun, although very technical at times. I lvoe Charle ... ... Stross
This was a fun book, but not as good as the other books I have read by Stross. Still, I will be picking up The Jennifer Morgue, the sequel, sometime soon.
I also read about 150 or 200 pages of Dhalgren, but I have put it aside for now. It is a very '70s book--the first 100 ... Book 2: The Jennifer Morgue- 418 pages.
Dropping in on fellow LibraryThing user Heyokish netted me a few recommendations from her enormous library, and this blend of Lovecraft, Bond and computer geekery was much appreciated. Admittedly, the magic-as-advanced-mathematics coupled with gadgetry ... ... again on the night the dead walk. Connor is trying to keep both humans and fey happy, stay alive and save the world.

35. The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross
36. Country Wisdom by The Editors of Storey Publishing's Country Wisdom
37. Survival Wisdom by Amy Rost
38. A Three Dog Life ... A tough call:
1. Storm Front (I only just discovered Butcher).
2. Jennifer Morgue (A total hoot).
3. Blindsight (As disquieting a book as I've read in some time).
4. The Wizard Hunters (A great start to a great trilogy).
5. Orphans of Chaos (ditto).
Honorable ... 45. The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross I enjoyed The Atrocity Archives a great deal, and am now looking for the sequel, The Jennifer Morgue.
I particularly recommend this series for anyone who has worked in IT. ... Stross has since followed up on the characters in this Len Deighton tribute with an Ian Fleming tribute called The Jennifer Morgue, but I don't have that yet. Rumor has it that the next novel is a tribute to Adam Hall's Quiller novels. I've finished up The Jennifer Morgue which is great. Next up is Spin; we'll see if Wilson impresses me this time. ... Frost-Haired Vixen, which while enjoyable is not quite as delerious as the first three Zach Johnson novels.
Next up is The Jennifer Morgue. Just bought The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross. Liking if not loving it.
