Well organized, well researched, and well written with a breezy yet sincere tone. By a Janeite for Janeites everywhere. ( )A cute, fun, short read. Some interesting material to be gleaned. Nice addition to the Jane Austen collection - but probably not a "must buy" for most! An excellent introduction to the Regency era social world, filled with advice on deportment, daily life, and tidbits on the books themselves. I hope some of its advice was tongue-in-cheek, as it often advocated mimicking the behavior of Austen's villains! I loved the illustrations and those accompanying the discussion of clothing were especially helpful, as it is often hard to understand Regency costume through description alone. Best for understanding Regency women's daily lives. 0.034 seconds to build listing no reviews | add a review
