#7 Lara Adrian - Geliebte der Nacht scrpo1027 in Romance - from historical to contemporary : What Are You Reading Week of April 20 (Apr 21, 2009, 12:15pm) Just finished Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian and I did enjoy it it was a lot like the BDB Series of J.R. Ward but not nearly as good. I know that I will get the other books because it was good enough that I want to read about the other characters.
Ok, so I am now starting The Bride ... Im mid way through Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian and its ok, that may be why I havent finished it. I finally received The Bride by Julie Garwood but Im tring to finsh the other book first. So, hopefully by tomorrow or wed. the latest I will start that one.
Ok, 1 of my books arrived today (finally) so I started Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian I was told it was a lot like J.R. Ward's BDB Series and since I loved that I figured I would enjoy this. Just started it but action already :)

Memoir -- 1 I finished Satisfaction, which was very good & started Kiss of Midnight since I enjoyed book 3 in this series so much. I just finished Kiss of Midnight and Kiss of Crimson by Lara AdrianI liked them both. ... whose books are normally a good read, and once again the female character was just unbelievable. I followed that up with Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian, hoping that it really would be at least similar to the J.R. Ward series. It was all right, but pretty wooden.
Sigh...at least I did ... I finished Kiss of Midnight. It was a solid vampire romance, I think. It had a little of everything. The teaser for the next book looked really interesting. >28 and 32 - I put Kiss of Midnight on my amazon wishlist and on my bookmooch list. Thanks for the suggestion! It looks very good. #28 : I'm reading Kiss of Midnight too. I was about a third of the way through it when I read your message and thought, "What? This is pretty good!"
Now that I am two-thirds of the way through, I am starting to see what you mean. It's starting to read like an amalgamation of quite a few ... I just finished Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian. And while I enjoyed it I wouldn't consider it a great book. I'd probably grade it a B or a B-. I'll be buying Kiss of Crimson when it comes out later this month though.
