Succinct and clever. I like the concepts of cult and aura as applied to art. The tie to the aesthetics of war and politics in the end is spooky but appropriate. ( )

Extremely insightful essay; though mistaken in certain technical aspects, it continues to be relevant today.

or 'How Not to be a Fascist'. Benjamin explains how a specific art piece loses its aura when it is reproduced, predicts the future of DVD's and instant satisfaction when it comes to reproducing art forms, and brilliantly explains the politicization of art. There is no wondering why Bejamin is considered a cultural theorist legend. ( )
