Once again, White has written a very entertaining book. In Chaos he writes of an aging Gay writer who seeks hustlers who he falls for and they for him. I understand his feelings and it is at times upsetting to see someone debasing themselves when that is their pleasure. A favorite is "Give It Up for Billy"..great read and very gay enjoyable. The last A Real Sport is very psychologically masochistic about a man who befriends a woman who sucks the energy out of him and they decide to live and be companions....eeeekk...who wants those type of people in their lives spirit vampires!!!!!!!!! Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0786720050, Hardcover)

When a respected older man clings to the values and mores of the liberated 1970s, when he pursues sex relentlessly and his reputation suffers, Chaos ensues. White explores different aspects of aging, romance, and sex, inviting his readers to come with him to Florida, the Greek Isles, and Turkey — and into the chaotic gay demimonde of contemporary New York.
