I understand social point of view but I still thinks it's a big difference between the The diary of a young girl : the definitive edition and the original since there's parts of Anne's diary that you don't know if you haven't read the new edition. I've started to separate The diary of a young girl : the definitive edition cos there seems to both the definitive edition and the original edition since anything published before 2001 has to be the original edition. For further explanation see multifaceted in Combiners! : Anne Frank's Works (Apr 28, 2007, 1:11am) Well, I have both The Diary of a Young Girl and Anne Frank's Tales from the Secret Annex. I know that they are NOT the same book at all (the latter being some of her short fictional stories written while in the annex). So, shouldn't they be kept as separate works?

What about Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl? I know I read it for school, but I cannot for the life of me remember what grade I was in. I've been brooding about this for a couple of days, and I realize what's been gnawing at me about tagging:

I hated The Scarlet Letter, The Pigman, everything by John Steinbeck except for The Grapes of Wrath, and Diary of a Young Girl. Yes, I hated the quintessential Holocaust memoir. She's really not an interesting person, just really, really unlucky.
As for classics I read ... ... new to Folio, but I would have to say that my favourite FS creation so far is not one of the more elaborate volumes.
