the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. Its well written, a good friend has been telling me to read it for years, but I just couldn't get into it. Somehow it just seemed a bit too sympathetic to Hitler. As far as WWII goes, I'd be kind of uncomfortable reading the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich in public. Rise and Fall of the Third Reich in progress
not sure about the other three yet. I've been wading through guns, germs, and steel for almost a year and a half now, so getting it done sometime this year will be really nice. ... I ever took off intentionally (as opposed to taking it off because it wore out, or tore, or whatever), was on Shirer's The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich because I couldn't stand looking at the swastika on the spine. What do you think of the book so far? I've had it on my list for a bit. Should I move it up? I'm currently reading Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. 600 pages in and the war is just starting!!
