Broad definition of peace, with the kind of photos National Geographic is famous for. Followed by information and location for each photo - and a map.Concludes with "A Note on Peace" by Richard H Solomon, President of United States Institute of Peace, which includes several important quotations.

The photography is this book was very beautiful. Big pictures of different locations around the world are shown. This book focus was peace, and how people from different places gain peace in their own way. I really enjoyed this book. I think this story would be great for a 6th or 7th grade class. ( )

This simple yet powerful book sends a message of peace from all corners of the globe. The beautiful, large photographs of people around the world and the simple text are well chosen and well placed to convey the author's message. The last pages explaining the origins of each photo and a note on peace from the US Institute of Peace help the children to connect peace to different parts of the world. ( )
