A good overview of the the topic, with great list of resources that go into more detail. Well organized and full of photos. I rescue old photos and this book gave me some ideas for how to date photos more precisely to identify the possible birth year of subjects.

A quick read, but a very useful overview of the history of photography and many suggestions on how to better interpret the time and source of historic photos. ( )
