I thoroughly enjoy a well-written children's book, and this one is first rate. Sattgast retells a number of Proverbs in verse form. The scenarios she presents are well thought out and fantastic illustrations of application from a child's perspective, without straying from the plain sense of the Scripture passages. The poetry is competent, although simple. The illustrations, by Nancy Munger, are appealing, clever, and apt for the text. Moreover, my three year old loves this book.
