I found this collection of short stories and poems to be an enjoyable read. Just make sure you know that this is just edited by the Weis and Hickman, not written by them. If you want something to read during short breaks and not worry about keeping up the with the continuity of a story, pick up this book. ( )

Opening Sentence "...In the burning house in a scattered country you will see us rising the shadow of wings crossing your sunlight obscuring the moon as the red sky blossoms in fire and confusion..."

This is the opening sentence of the first short story called 'Seven Hymns of the Dragon' by Michael Williams. Actually in this case it is more a lengthy poem rather than a story. There are sixteen short stories - and I have to say that other than one or two - most of them didn't grab my attention at all. ( )
