Jan Irving's library programming book called Stories NeverEnding is a helpful resource for school and youth public librarians. Youth librarian for the Pueblo City-County Public Library District in CO, Jan Irving is also an author and has served on the Caldecott committee. Here is a consolidated resource of her K to 6th tips and strategies for cultivating a book loving community. There are 10 chapters including ones on reading incentive programs, art programs for libraries, storytelling programming, book talking, and more. Each chapter has a topic introduction, bibliography, a full scale program for public libraries, one for school libraries, lists to springboard ideas, and activities. There is a wealth of experience and ideas in these pages. This programming book is highly recommended for public and school libraries ( )
