Light, entertaining, escapist. Stone Barrington gets an assignment to a Caribbean island with a woman partner and, of course, Dino. Dino didn't play too big a role. But, Holly Barker, partner, survives the book--unlike many of Stone's mistresses. It's a game changer for the government of St Marks. Fun read, where's number 15?. ( )

Woods' latest offbeat thriller of a fugitive is driving the CIA crazy and beginning to look like an unwelcome factor in the presidential election. Stone finds himself back on the island of St Markes, which he first visited in Dead in the Water. ( )

Good story....characters not as strong in this one and ending is a bit rushed, but still a fun read. This one also keeps you guessing till the end, and I really like the stories where Barrington and Barker work together. This would be a great beach book. ( )

The first Stuart Woods novel I picked up I never finished. It just didn't grab me enough. A couple years later a new friend suggested a Woods novel, so I readit. It was very good and sicne thenI've read several of Wood's novels.

Barrington is brought in to handle a simple stock sale of a movie studio, but of course it became far more than that.

Populated with very rich beautiful people, you'd think this book would be a promo piece for Hollywood, but it turned out to be a darn good read. It was nice to revisit Arone Barrington and his incredible luck.

If you like a good murder mystery, this isit. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0451223608, Mass Market Paperback)

In the newest addition to the bestselling series, Stone Barrington and Holly Barker pursue a master spy and murderer in a tropical paradise where very little is as it seems.

Teddy Fay, a rogue agent last seen escaping an imploding building in Iron Orchid, has been considered dead for some time now. But President Will Lee thinks Teddy may still be alive. In a top-secret Oval Office meeting, Stone learns that he and his cohorts, Holly Barker and Dino Baldachetti, are being sent to the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Marks, courtesy of the CIA, to track down Teddy once and for all.

St. Marks is a vacationer's paradise, but its luxurious beach clubs and secluded mountain villas are home to corrupt local politicians and more than a few American ex-pats with murky personal histories. Stone and Holly soon discover that in St. Marks, everyone is hiding something, and Teddy Fay may just be hiding in plain sight.
