I recently checked out Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher from the library and I honestly did not understand all the hype about it. The book was vaguely interesting and definitely very readable but nothing special stood out to me about the characters or plot. Definitely a disappointment.

I read Thirteen Reasons Why shortly after it came out. I thought it was a good, compelling read, and would recommend it to those who enjoyed Sarah Zarr's Story of a girl, John Green's Looking for Alaska, Laurie Halse Anderson's Speak, and other books along those lines.
