This is a really cute historical romance novel... :) Just rereading it for a book challenge... ( )

Absolutely delightful![b:Educating Caroline|640121|Educating Caroline|Patricia Cabot|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1176613552s/640121.jpg|626322] was a perfectly wonderful romance. Georgette Heyer she ain't, but Meg (whoops, "Patricia") Cabot knows how to tell a good story. The main character isn't always rational, and Lord knows no one else is either, but because she's not a flighty idiot like so many historical romance heroines, I'm willing to forgive any craziness. Plus, the cover illustration is sheer awesome (all the best parts of 'chick lit,' none of the bad bits). I'm looking forward to requesting the rest of her novels from the library, and wondering why I didn't check out Meg Cabot's alter ego sooner. ( )

When Lady Caroline Linford finds her fiance, the Marquis of Winchilsea, in an 'intimate moment' with another woman, she is horrified. Due to society's expectations, and the service he did her brother, the wedding cannot be called off. So Caroline seeks lessons in lovemaking from the 'Lothario of London', Braden Granville.

Granville reluctantly agrees to secure Caroline's help in discovering the identity of his own fiancee's lover.

As the lessons grow ever more heated, however, Granville becomes more and more averse to returning his star pupil to the arms of her fiance.

I loved Caroline's monologues and her quirky way of looking at certain situations. Every few pages I would stumble across a description that would have me itching for someone to read it aloud to.

It was nice to have Caroline be a spirited heroine who was nonetheless rather refreshingly ordinary. ( )
