None. None. Sara Holbrook, known for her poetry and programming books compiles forty of her poems that reach out to young adults, ages 12-16. Each one of the poems expresses a feeling or gives an insight to how teenagers might communicate through verse. The poems range from Jealous to Love to Whatever. A single, black-and-white illustration accompanies each poem, but its main function is to breakup all of the whitespace. Overall, the poems are insightful and easy to understand. While the book offers an insightful literary model, it lacks clarification. Most of the introduction is even composed in verse, which may be difficult for others to understand. Additionally, it does not provide much instruction of really explain how this book is supposed to be used. Additional selection. ( )no reviews | add a review
