Bennie Rosato is a rather outspoken lawyer who has recently broken up with her boyfriend - who also happens to be her partner in their legal practice. When he turns up dead - and she has nothing resembling a confirmable alibi - things get a bit sticky for Bennie. The story was interesting, although I can't decide if I liked Bennie, or if she was just a bit too much. There's a romance which seems rather half-hearted, and should probably have been left out (or developed a wee bit more). On the whole, though, I enjoyed it well enough as a bath-time read.
