Book description
This book is about a young girl in the 1840's who moves from Iowa to Indiana to receive a better education. This would be a good book to use as a read aloud or in small groups. It would be a wonderful way to discuss how education has changed through history and how many children did not receive education in the past as children do now. This book also provide historical details about the time period and location.
