I like the running plot lines that continue through the stories... and love to hate Richard. I'm glad Dovie and Frank got together even though that was a secondary plot thread. I like the preacher Wade and wouldn't mind seeing him included in more. Glad to see Cal and Caroline happy. Cal Patterson was left a the altar by his out-of-state fiancee, and he's not over it yet. I LOVE reading Debbie Macomber's books, especially when it involves a "Series" then you can find out what happened to some people. It's like reading about an extended family. In the first story, there are a few people who you think my be the child's father, but not who it turns out to be. In the second story, it's nice to see a man proven wrong.
