Mildly amusing. Jeremy Clarkson has done his best for the great cause of cheering us all up through trying to make a Formula 1 car out of bits of wood, driving a semi blindfolded, or any of the other damn fool things they do on Top Gear. I imagine this would work a lot better as an audiobook. ( )

You will find yourself shaking your head, sometimes nodding, but more often laughing like a hyena no matter whether you agree or disagree with his points because of the way Jeremy puts his point across. Here he tackles news highlights, day to day life - from random aspects of parenting to travelling in Europe & goodness knows what inbetween. Completely biased, utterly British, & sometimes even insightful! ( )

I read the columns of Jemery Clarkson placed in the Sunday Times from 2001 to 2003 on a daily basis the last couple of months. And I had a lot of fun from it. I like the way he's looking at the world and it's even understandable for a non-British. I might even start watching Topgear.

Actually quite a serious book with Clarkson describing messed up British society in the new millenium.
If you put together Health and Safety activists, Blame Culture, Everyone will win a prize etc. you have Nietszche's "ressentiment" written large. You are required to feel guilty at all times.
In its previous religious incarnation, the triumph of the weak was the "inverted world" of the saintly fasting celibate, but now it's every new home fitted for a wheelchair.

This is a collection of Jeremy Clarkson's (one third of Top Gear) newspaper articles on anything and everything (although he seems to have a particular thing for Concorde). He's a snappy, funny writer and this has some laugh out loud moments. Good light read for holidays. ( )
