Gave up on the audio version of after the quake by Haruki Murakami - just not my taste. That bad part is that this was highly recommended by a very good friend. I hate when that happens! She and I usually have very similar taste, but we all have our quirks.

on Murakami, I enjoyed immensely The Elephant Vanishes but I'm finding After the Quake less exciting. The freshest, most imaginitive, most original short stories I've read in years though were Victor Pelevin's The Blue Lantern.

I've just started Murakami's After the Quake. I need a Murakami fix after a few months away and I was in the mood for some short stories too.
