This is a very approachable version of Dever's earlier book "Nine Marks of a Healthy Church". Dever does a great job at presenting a clear case for what a healthy church is to be like from a Biblical perspective. Dever's Baptist background shines throughout, especially in the last chapter, but not so much that it overshadows the message that all evangelicals should be able to agree upon. This is a great book for any member of the local church. ( )
