Loading... What Is a Healthy Church? (2007)by Mark Dever
None. This is a great book to help those looking for a church understand the key things that make a good church. It isn't a systematic ecclesiology text but the major points are covered. A quick read that is a good information for the average person. ( )I enjoyed this book despite having listened to the 9 marks series. I found it to be just the right size to use as a sort of handbook or to give to someone considering a church situation or looking for a church. The content is solidly planted in the Bible & concisely & clearly presented. This is a very approachable version of Dever's earlier book "Nine Marks of a Healthy Church". Dever does a great job at presenting a clear case for what a healthy church is to be like from a Biblical perspective. Dever's Baptist background shines throughout, especially in the last chapter, but not so much that it overshadows the message that all evangelicals should be able to agree upon. This is a great book for any member of the local church. no reviews | add a review
