have to disagree with shutter island. saw that one coming. I would agree more with presumed innocent. I thought of another one. Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow. ... (I won't say why in public--a spoiler) so it says a lot that I still wanted to finish it. I had the same experience with Presumed Innocent where on page 87 I knew exactly who, how and why and if I hadn't had to finish it because it was for a book club I would have quit. I've never read ... Prayers sent!
Scott Turow is very Grisham-like. Presumed Innocent may be a good choice. If she's into police procedural kinds of mysteries, I've heard good things about Child44 and it's high on my list. Finished Innocent by Harlan Coben. It was the 3rd book by HC that I've read and _nothing_ will make me read another one.
Right now I'm probably going to take Angels Flight by Michael Connelly - the 6th in Harry Bosch series. Or maybe Death du jour by Kathy Reichs. ... first published.
So my current list of 10 favorite titles in the ImPress Mystery series to date would be:
1. Presumed Innocent – Scott Turow (4.5)
2. The Day of the Jackal – Frederick Forsyth (4.0+)
3. A Kiss Before Dying – Ira Levin (4.0+)
4. The Talen ... ... Island by Dennis Lehane - that one absolutely floored me!
