There’s lots of talk about how important and impactful eq is, but very little on how to actually improve your eq.

The “how to’s” on how to improve are so generalized they’re not helpful. Shit like, “To help children understand their emotions, you first have to make it okay for them to have them. Embracing your child’s emotions is often a simple and unremarkable act.”

Yes, and I do that HOW exactly?

The advice is a bunch of inapplicable generalisms. Not helpful at all. ( )

A "quick book" doesn't have time for anecdotes. This book was a disappointment, although I guess its my fault for choosing a "quick book." ( )
