She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb - I have no patience for characters (or real people) who sit around complaining about how bad life is and how much the universe is conspiring to make them miserable.

Parts of She's Come Undone made me laugh out loud as well as Spanish Lessons by Derek lambert My 3 choices out of what I've read this year so far would have to be:

I really have to disagree about She's Come Undone. Maybe it's just me, but I came away with the impression that Wally Lamb had never even had a conversation with a woman! Oooh, that book made me angry! Hands down my favorite read for October was She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. Great story. Didn't want it to end. I'm still listening to The Thirteenth Tale, ... I read She's Come Undone a while back too. I remember being frustrated with Dolores too, but drawn in by the writing.
I read King Dork last month and I was disappointed with it after all of the hype. I read Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist last month too. I liked the writing and the ... ... Tales - Geoffrey Chaucer
