I read it in 24 hours.....I put it down to sleep! I just left the Adirondacks of Upstate New York with Andrea Barrett's The Air We Breathe and am on my way out of this world with Mary Doria Russell's The Sparrow. I just finished The Air We Breathe by Andrea Barrett. Once again, her ability to impart scientific knowledge and weave a good plot with engaging characters has reeled me in. Read it in 24 hours.

An ER copy of The Air we breathe by Andrea Barrett arrived Saturday. The Air We Breathe by Andrea Barrett arrived today! Thanks! A trade paperback copy of The Air we Breathe was stuffed inside my mailbox this afternoon. My name & address on the label was written in pen & ink. The letter inside also said "Dear Marian". Perhaps they are adding a human touch? I was glad to get this so early. I snagged The Air We Breathe by Andrea Barrett, which incidentally I looked at in the bookshop weekend before last, so I know I'm intrigued! This is my first one too, and I got The Air We Breathe which I'm excited about, because Andrea Barrett has been all over NPR this past week talking it up!
