2.5 rating - it's slightly better than the run of the mill vampire romances. Kind of a neat world - just like ours - & no over done sex. There's more story than sex & violence, although plenty of both. ( )

I like the later books better than the first one ( )

Pretty predictable story of a half-vampire Catherine Crawfield who has been brought up to hate vampires and now hunts them, is found by Bones a vampire bounty hunter who wants to make her focus. They're attracted to each other but can she get past the years of programming?

It's readable but nothing special. ( )

Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father; the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unholy partnership. In exchange for finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner; are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her new found status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side . . . and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.

Awesome half human/half vampire Cat Crawfield, armed with her acerbic wit, catty attitude, flaming red hair, thigh-high leather boots, and the vamp kill gear, slays vampires with a gusto that makes Buffy look like a girl scout. She’s a awesome heroine who uses her barbed sense of humor and snarky personality with as much effect as her stakes, stilettos, knives and kitten heel boots!

Cat’s sarcasm is hilarious, and the wickedly sexy, fun, spicy banter and romance between Cat and Bones is five-alarm fire hot! There are sooo many- laugh till your stomach hurts moments.

I loved this book because...Bones, Bones, Bones, Bones, Bones...Bones gives Edward a major run for the money for the top vampire award! He just flat-out takes the stake...cake! Bones in leather on a bike, Bones calling Cat “Kitten” and “luv”, Bones’s sexy mix of Aussie/English phrases(cute)and humor, Bones’s surprisingly sweet, tender, romantic side and fierce love for Cat.

For you PNR lovers is another must read! , it’s told from Cat’s POV. it's such an awesome book. Then i read an except for a frustrating, ‘say it ain’t so/ OMG’ cliffhanger ending that had me immediately going to get the next book to carry on with the Cat and Bones series! ( )

This and two sequels have been sitting on my TBR pile for quite a while. I kept passing over them. That was a mistake! Cat Crawfield is the child of rape. Her mother was raped by a vampire (apparently a really rare occurrence). Cat has been looked down upon as illegitimate by the town and brainwashed by her mother to hate all vampires. She has inherited some vampire traits and uses her talents to kill vampires. She meets Bones when she tries to kill him but she can't. He trains her to fight better and convinces her that all vampires are not evil. They fall in love despite Cat's serious misgivings. They work together to hunt down a vampire who is kidnapping and killing young women. Interesting love story with a kick-ass heroine who also has vulnerabilities. ( )
