Hi, I've read almost all of Daniel Quinn's books. In my opinion his best two by far are Ishmael and The Story of B. They are where he has the most to say and the subsequent books, while still thought provoking, pale in comparison. After reading Quinn I would strongly suggest ...

... I think I may have burnt myself out on reading this past month - I'm having a hard time staying focused. I also picked Story of B off the shelf as an old favorite to poke through while I'm eating - doesn't require much attention on my nineteen-billionth read-through.

I always thought My Ishmael was a little choppy, like the two halves belonged to two different books. Story of B is my favorite of them, by far. Have you read his new(ish) book, If They Give You Lined Paper, Write Sideways?
