The Revised Standard Version dramatically shaped the course of English Bible translation work in the latter half of the Twentieth Century. This book is to be highly recommended. It should be required text for any scripture course. An excellent easy to read book on God's relationship with his people: a covenant relationship, made over and over again, throughout Salvation History, culminating in the New Covenant, Jesus Christ. Covenant is the link that ties Old and New Testament and is explained in such an easy to understand way.

I am not a scholar and I need help to put the Bible in perspective. Sometimes I get confused with the Bible in the understanding the context and the concept of the parts to the whole ... this is especially true for me in the Old Testament. I need a way to cut through the confusion. Now I can grasp the entire Bible as a Salvation Covenant Plan which Divinely inspires me. Thank you.

Scripture is your guide to what matters most in life. If you regularly read and pray with Scripture, these verses will provide you rich food for thought. No matter what your situation, the Bible will help you evaluate the choices and make the decisions that confront you every day. Either explicitly or implicitly, Scripture addresses all of life's problems, worries, dangers, questions and uncertainties. ( )
