Loading... Lonely Planet Costa Ricaby Lonely Planet
None. While the reviews of the places I visited seemed to be accurate, the overall organization seemed to be done by someone who had never been to Costa Rica. The relation between towns and hotels on the east coast involves a bit of fantasy. I am not convinced that the authors visited the same places I did. In particular, the guide book suggests you check out La Jungla beer, a microbrewery in the town of Punta Uva. Not only is Punta Uva really not much of a town (the locals would refer to the same place as either Punta Uva or Peurto Viejo depending on how you asked the question), the locals think the idea of a micro-brewery in Punta Uva is funny! I will definetly be taking anything in a Lonely Planet guide book with a grain of salt from here on out! ( )no reviews | add a review
