Intriguing story presenting the author's ideas about the evolving spirituality of the age/epoc. I identify with some of the ideas, but you have to remember that it is fiction and not get fiction and reality mixed up. ( )

An interesting, quick read. I especially enjoyed the portrayal of serendipitous connections. ( )

rabck bookbox from dg500; This book is classified as fiction, although it could also be religion/spirituality. Think of The DaVinci Code crossed with The Shack. And like both of those books, folks are polarized into either a love or hate camp - hardly anyone in between! I loved the book, although since I was traveling, I started with the audio version, read by Lou Diamond Phillips (who did a wonderful job) - and then continued the audio as a read-along with the paper copy. The interview at the end of the audio was also excellent (and can be found on the publisher's site). Mostly set in Peru, an American is by chance, hunting for a banned manuscript of spiritual "insights", that the Peruvian government and some higher-ups in the Catholic church are trying to suppress. And those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of Heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. But for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time. Many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase. (Daniel 12:3–4)
