This book was great for those who have interests in playing basketball. However, the book mainly consisted of a group of friends shooting basketball. There was not much of a plot, and little dialogue or conversation. ( )

Around the Word is a short graphic novel that begins with a brother and sister playing basketball in New York City. As you turn the page you meet new characters from the world who are also playing basketball. The message is simple: basketball is a universal game, no matter what country you visit. At the end of the book there are directions on how to play "Around the World" a type of basketball game.

In this book it talks about basketball people doing a match all around the world in New York in USA, Patrick's cove in Canada, Carolina in Puerto Rico, Campos in Brazil, Paris in France, Vršac in Serbia, Lagos in Nigeria, Istanbul in Turkey, and last Shanghai in China. I recommend this book to people who like or even even basketball. ( )

In this colorful, action-packed, graphic novel, kids playing Around the World, a specific game of basketball, are just a page-turn away from other basketball players in countries as geographically removed as Australia, Puerto Rico, Turkey, and China, but they're as close as the next ball through the hoop. The players in each country speak a few simple words in their own languages, while the narrative, comic-book style, is in English. Great for reluctant readers and sports fantatics. ( )
