Fishing & Hunting?It was my practice during hunting season, to come to school in an old beat-up Model A Ford with two bird dogs in the back seat. During morning class hours I would simply put these dogs behind the rail in the moot courtroom. There was never any protest or particular notice about this from anyone.'The Law?I should like to convince you that no activity surpasses the practice of law in social usefulness. Second, that of all professions, it permits more freedom and is the most conducive to living an expansive personal life. And, finally, that no way of life is more stimulating and challenging.'Rehabilitation after plane crash?When the pain got unbearable, I would take off my shoes and socks and stand in snow water until my feet were numb, and then go on. This is rough treatment, but it has worked.'Conservation'though our own lives are but watches in the night, make us ever mindful of those who come after us and their just claim to this good earth.'So, his life was divided, at his will, between advocating unpopular causes and exploring the wilderness of the earth, usually on foot, either alone or with those who loved him. Now, we can vicariously roam his world and, in days of diminishing private rights, read his thoughts which leave no doubt as to ?what would Lucius say?… (more)
