I WAS DESPERATE, OKAY?! I have a lot of big, heavy, deep books and classics to read but I just wanted something quick and light to read and I like werewolves, so I thought "why not"? and oh... Just oh... I think there are more in this series, but I won't be bothering with them if they exist. I can already see how it's going. There's a cop she's sleeping with. There's her photographer she's in love with. There's a private investigator who's hot for her. And she picks up a vampire along the way, who's hanging out in her apartment.

REALLY TIRED OF THIS STUFF, GUYS. ( )

This book has been sitting on my shelf since Christmas. I finally decided to give it a read. I really, really enjoyed this book. The plot is strong. Lou Kipniski is a supermodel who is also, occasionally, a werewolf. Now another werewolf is stalking her, and killing any women that get in his path. Add a hunky detective, another hunky photographer, and icky PI and a lesbian best friend, and we have a great supporting cast for our Cover Girl. The writing here is well done, very interesting. The plot races along, pages turning. The ending is also well done and somewhat original. This would have been a beautiful start to a new paranormal series. I enjoyed this book much more than some in similar genres lately. Unfortunately, this author passed away shortly after completing the story and there are a lot of lose ends. To be honest, I knew this and I think that is what kept me from reading this book long ago. Don't let it keep you from reading it, if you are interested, because not only is this a great book, but it also shows what a truly bright light burned out too soon in Ronda Thompson. ( )

First off, let me join all those who have paid their condolences to the family of the author. I was sad to learn that she had passed away before this book was on the shelves. But she left an enjoyable story to be enjoyed now that she has passed and I hope the series could be picked up by another author if possible.

Confessions is the story of Lou Kinipski, or rather Sherry Billington... a high school senior who is assaulted on her prom night and transforms into not just a werewolf but a hottie. After her life and looks altering experience she runs away from her home in Haven, Texas. Seven years later we catch up to her, she's become Lou Kinipski, a New Yorker and supermodel of Giselle-like proportions. The trouble is, Lou is PMS-ing which means fur outbreaks and to top it off she's having nightmares. Wanting to know just why she's having trouble with the fur and fangs she has to seek out the aid of a private investigator to find out just who her birth parents are... and now her nightmares are real. Women who look much like Lou are turning up dead and the hunk investigating the murders seems like just the type of fellow to scratch Lou's itch if she can just help him solve the murders and catch the big bad wolf before he gets her first.

This book was cute and it's characters larger than life. From Lou's adorable best-friend, Cindy and her man-slut photographer crush, Stefan to the wacky rocker by night, PI by day, Morgan Kane and cop lust interest Terry. Her supporting cast is great. The story itself is a little too quick to come together for my tastes but this book was likely intended to appeal to those looking for something fluffy but paranormal. Try mixing some chick lit style with a Kitty Norville book and you have Confessions of a Werewolf Supermodel. ( )

Book one of a series that will never be finished. The author dies after this book was completed. She died 11th July 2008.BUTThis is not the usual paranormal candy. This book as interesting characters and the herorine is not a simpering maiden in distress. She is confused about her condition and wants to find out what triggers her transformations. She meets a hot cop when girls in the city who look like her start being killed.A good read and it is very sad that this is the first and last book of the series ( )

Book description

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0312949251, Mass Market Paperback)

Supermodel Lou Kipinski seems to have it all. But beauty is only skin deep—and sometimes Lou’s porcelain complexion can get a bit hairy. The only thing worse than a furry fashion faux-pas? Fangs in her million-dollar smile. That’s what happened six months ago, when Lou had her first outbreak. But now that she’s at the height of her career she absolutely must find a cure…So what’s a single werewolf gotta do?

Then a sexy detective comes knocking on her door. Two women who bear an eerie resemblance to Lou have been killed—something with teeth and claws tore them apart. Is it a coincidence that the grisly murders have taken place during the same time as Lou’s own outbreaks? With a killer at her heels and another outbreak just a concealer-wand’s distance away, Lou is soon in a race to discover truths about her own murky past. And before it’s all over she may be forced to show the world that her bark is nothing compared to her bite…
