This book is the original HCI textbook, and well worth having around as a reference if you are interested in human computer interaction (and its practical applications usability, user centred design, and user experience) from day to day. While this is not a book you would read cover to cover as a work/pleasure crossover, it has a little bit of everything and an excellent index. ( )
