Loading... The Midnight Roadby Tom Piccirilli
None. This book was sort of strange for me. I really enjoyed it for about the first third, enough that I downloaded one of the author's novellas to my iPhone's Kindle app. Then I came to a part that was a chapter length flashback; it was at this point that the book started to annoy me. The author spends a LOT of time describing emotions and the protagonist's inner life. At the end I asked myself what had happened in the book, in terms of events, and I could think of only a few. I think the author is very talented, but I wish he would spend more time telling a story and less time telling me how people are feeling (or how the protagonist thinks they are feeling).
