Representative but not particularly good collection of short science fiction stories, mostly from about 1951. Highlights are Lovecraft's "Colour from Outer Space", Bradbury's "Kaleidoscope", and del Rey's "Instinct". Brown's "the Weapon" and Deutsch's "A Subway Named Mobious" also have some nice touches... but in general the collection has dated poorly. ( )

Pretty uneven collection. It has some very good stories (Colour out of Space, Kaleidoscope, Instinct) and some pretty bad ones (Plague, Spectator Sport) ( )
