Gunslinger by Edward Dorn, for all the horses, hippees and wild westers who read poetry. #48 The Gunslinger
I'm not sure what the big who-ha is - nothing really happens; a lot of flashbacks, and hints as to what's going on, but nothing really goes on. ... it does do. (Wait, nevermind, I checked your library and see you've read it. Well then!)

Currently reading The Drawing of the Three. It is going much faster than The Gunslinger did. Probably because the POV switches fairly frequently. It's not The Gunslinger or anything by King.

I'm trying to decide between The Fourth Bear and The Sirens of Titan, although I might just start Stephen King's The Gunslinger. I got the first five books of the Dark Tower series for Christmas. Believe it or not, my love with fantasy began with an unlikely work: Stephen King's The Gunslinger. Dark Tower! Dark Tower! Dark Tower!
Dark Tower is not a horror series. There are moments of horror, but it is so much more than that. It mixes Western with fantasy, with a little of every other genre thrown in. I think it's the strongest fantasy series of the latter 20th century. It also ... ... ."
