In the 27th book in the Magic Tree House series, Jack and Annie find themselves taking a trip to the time of the first thanksgiving. They ventured back to the pilgrims and Wampanoag to share a grand meal with them. I would use this book in a 3rd grade classroom because of its length. It can be used to teach students about Thanksgiving and how it came to be.

This book follows Jack and Annie back to 1621 to the first Thanksgiving Day. They run into problems when they realize they don’t know how to do anything the Pilgrims ask them to help with. They begin to worry they are going to ruin the day for everyone. Will they be able to help out in the end? ( )
