Quaint and enjoyable. Girls and I liked reading it out loud.

A collection of interconnected short stories about the children in a tiny village. Beautiful little tales with a good dash of humour and plenty of interesting thoughts. Very child-friendly writing that is simple in style and presents the stories in manageable bits.
