It originated a series of open letters posted on the internet (and soon linked from Dawkins' own webpages) where Church of Scotland minister David Robertson responded chapter by chapter to Dawkins' book. He is polite, engages in the debate, agrees with much of what Dawkins' says about the evils done in the name of Religion, but does not let him get away with the sloppy and poorly researched and unbalanced argument which features in the book. Whether you take Dawkins' side or not, this is a good book to read to see what Christians REALLY believe rather than the caricature Strawman that Dawkins often sets up, only to demolish a few paragraphs later. Robertson presents good arguments to show and that there are intellectually rigorous responses to the objections Dawkins raises. ( )no reviews | add a review
