The movies really have nothing on these books. The Bourne Identity is really so much more than what the movie shows and the ending is far more thrilling. The later books are not as intense but the endless action that Jason Bourne chases and runs from keeps these a great read overall. ( )

Wow - i think Robert Ludlum has a fantastic imagination and writes a brilliant thriller. I didn't think the book could match the films, but they did and were so very different. This book was not a quick read, and i couldnt help but read another chapter, and just one more. I have just finished this book and miss it already. Fabulous. ( )

Frankly disappointing. Despite being a hit film series and hearing much praise for the author I wasn't impressed. Other works by Ludlum have been well written with a gripping plot, but this was often silly. The characterisation was poor, motives unexplained and co-incidences far too frequent. ( )
