Loading... The Purrfect Murderby Rita Mae Brown
None. So sad to say this book was truly awful. Most the of the reviews I read said it was bad, but oftentimes I can find enjoyment anyway...not here. Even the beloved repeat characters even seemed flat and were written horribly. It seemed that every aspect of the book had a political agenda. The story was thin and the ending of the mystery rushed and non-nonsensical. The only good side was that it sparked me to buy a couple of the early books to re-read. They are truly awesome. I want to continue reading the rest of the books in this series, I just hope they're not as poorly written as this one. ( )I love this book. Of course I love Rita Mae Brown I have read 99% of her books. This is the first Rita Mae Brown I've read and, although a mystery fan and an avid cat lover, I didn't care for this book. Just finished it yesterday. I had been so fed up with Rita and her getting on a soapbox in every book that I had resigned to NEVER read her again. Still I LOVED this series and something made me pick it up and read it. Hooray--she doesn't get preachy. SHe does a really good job. Now if she could only learn to write a straight love scene (even gays can read enough of them to get the hang of that--maybe she needs a ghost writer for those parts???) What the hell is this book about? Ms. Brown gets a bit preachy in her books, and I take in stride, as a lot makes sense, to a point. I am not entirely sure what this latest book was about, or who or why the murderer was...maybe this is a set up for the next book? I hope... no reviews | add a review
