This book made me realize that watching a chick flick and reading one is NOT the same thing. While I don’t mind watching one once in a while, going through this book was a torture. The story was quite stale, the narration bad and the central character, ... I'm reading Love, Suburban Style by Wendy Markham which was left half way in the last week. While the movie was just so-so, the music was good - it was the first time I've ever bought a move soundtrack album (or rather, downloaded from iTunes). 14. PS, I Love You by Ceclia Ahern. A nice enjoyable read, about a young widow whose husband had left her 10 instructional letters to open once a month after his death. #21. PS I love you by Cecelia Ahern I read PS, I Love You by Celcia Ahern a while ago, and I found many parts of the book quite boring and just went on forever. Apart from that, I liked reading the build up of all the characters and how their relationships and bonds grew stronger.
The movie however, I think I enjoyed better. It ... ... by Marian Keyes.
Enjoyable, although a little bit predictable. I cried most of the way through. Similar theme to P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern, which I love, but makes me sob uncontrollably. I just read 3 of Cecelia Ahern's books. She is also an Irish writer. I really enjoyed P.S. I love you (very different from the movie) and Rosie Dunne (I think it's been republished as Love, Rosie). This book was a fast read (done in a day!) that takes you through a gammet of emotions. I laughed out loud at some moments and then was nearly brought to tears at others. Holly and her friends are likeable, witty and I hated to see the story end. That ... Julia It's been a busy week for me...but I finished P.S. I Love You, more chicklit than romance, but I enjoyed it and can't wait to see Gerard Butler in the movie!
