Saber Winter is running from her past, trying very hard to keep on top of her problems, some of which stem from the fact that she's a GhostWalker and she's afraid of what her powers could do. She's also afraid of being brought back in to the project and forced to kill, again. Jess Calhoun is an ex-officer with the US Navy SEALS, now he's in a wheelchair and owns a radio station. Saber works for him and he's given her a place to stay as well. He's hoping that she will realise that he's in love with her, she's afraid what she could unknowingly do. Yeah it's pretty predictable, but the characters are quite a lot of fun. Apart from Ms Feehan's facination with small child-like women. delete_me Have loved Jess Calhoun as a secondary character and it's great to not have a physically perfect hero. Saver is a bit hard to take. I do like the background plot with the ghost walkers and would like to see it advance more. As with many of her recent books, this one too focuses way too much on the sex scenes and not enough on what really could be a great story line. The plot twists and general background story of are really quite good, and could be phenomenal if they were better developed. However, it seems that the characters take a back seat to the increasingly graphic sex. This one follows Saber and Jess, both ghostwalkers and both living together without a clue of the others past. Jess is wheelchair bound following being tortured and saber is running from her past. They find love and an intersting use for Sabers phychic gifts. I want to love these characters because I think the whole premise of this series is excellent, but again, I ended up skimming huge sections of the book because the graphic sex is repeated over and over again. no reviews | add a review

Predatory Game is paranormal romantic suspense at its best. The tension is tight throughout the story, and the action sequence at the end is (forgive the pun) explosive! The main characters, Jess and Saber, are well-developed and strong, and are some of the most deadly GhostWalkers I've seen. As always, Feehan brings back some of her "old reliable" characters from previous books - Lily and Ryland, Ken and Mari, and Logan - along with some new faces for future books.
An intriguing mixture of romance and science kept me reading and interested long after I put it down. As the doctor toys with his subjects from afar, the Whitney conspiracy is beginning to accelerate a bit, leaving the reader unsure of friends and foes. Predatory Game was a really satisfying read, and I was extremely happy with the outcome. Of all the GhostWalker books I've read, I have to say, Predatory Game is the most interesting. The storyline and characters captured me like no other book in the series has. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book! (
