Ben Bova's Moonrise comes to mind, and there's a sequel.
Matthew Jarpe's Radio Freefall contains a lunar colony, but it's not central to the story or the characters.
There's a lunar colony in Assemblers of Infinity but I haven't read it. ... I just couldn't force myself to keep reading. The writing was good, so I may finish it at some point in the future.

Now i'm very Heinlien averse, so someone who likes his ... i made the mistake of buying radio freefall, in hardcover. Badly written w/ Jethro Tull evidently being the major "rock" influence. Gave up after 70 pages. As Heinlein was used as a positive comparison, i should've known better. ... They never went extinct, instead they evolved, went into hiding, and live among us in latex people suits.
I have to read Radio Freefall by Matthew Jarpe for a RL book group this month. He is a new author. It says its like Moon is a Harsh Mistress only set on earth, updated, and with Rock ... NOT radio freefall ...and i just bought it - nothing "heinlienesque" please. Nice to see someone else mention Vonarburg - calm, understated paranoia. Lisa Mason's the Golden nineties is v. good historical sf..but i've read it and would rather read something new ... the brief wondrous life of oscar wao. About half way through Park's Roumania series.
Very disappointed in Jarpe's radio freefall - should have known it wasn't my sort of book when blurbs/reviews etc kept referencing Heinlein; I'll give it another 70 pages to see if it becomes less ... ... ... reality: a Victorian British Empire that never was.
