a good read

A noir detective story, that while it is both rough edged and moody, also contains touching moments of lucid warmth. The art is darkly realistic and language colorfully appropriate (or inappropriate depending on your perspective). (

Lark’s gritty, down-to-earth figures and settings are just right for Brubaker’s first-person captions, in the classic style of the seen-it-all-too-soon protagonist.
