Lackey's Bardic Voices series (Lark & the Wren, etc.) is excellent. This "spin off," Bardic Choices, had the potential to be just as good. Only, the authors never published another book in it. It can be read as a stand alone, and I highly recommend it, but I hope Lackey writes more. ( )
