This book is full of wonderful poems, ryhmes, limericks, and silly stories aabout everything to absolutely nothing. This book is great for young kids to build their imagination while reading these stories. This book is full of hilarious tales that are both traditional and modern. I feel like there is nothing I could ever try to write that would really get across how much a part of my life this book, and all of Silverstein's poetry collections have been for me. Instead, I will let Mr. Silverstein himself explain exactly why it might be, that I find his poetry right for me. The Voice There is a voice inside of you That whispers all day long, 'I feel that this is right for me, I know that this is wrong.' No teacher, preacher, parent, friend Or wise man can decide What's right for you--just listen to The voice that speaks inside. I loved this book as a kid and still love it today, always makes me smile A collection of silly poems. Have students write their own poems. Genre: Poetry This book is a good example of poetry because it is relevant to children and good poetry. With the use of creative wording, Silverstein connects with children while showing the importance of poetry. Age Appropriateness: Primary Grades Media: Black Ink no reviews | add a review
